Timothy Zahn is an American writer of science fiction and fantasy. He is the author of more than 60 novels, nearly 90 short stories and novelettes, and four short-fiction collections. These include the Dragonback series, and the bestselling Star Wars™ novel, Heir to the Empire. The Thrawn Trilogy marked a revival in the fortunes of the Star Wars franchise, bringing it widespread attention for the first time in years. All three Thrawn novels made The New York Times Bestseller List. His book, Cascade Point, won the Hugo Award for best novella. More than eight million copies of his books are in print.
