Daily Writing Prompt

Sheena had the most striking eyes that made an impression the first second you set eyes on her. Light brown, so light that in the sun they could look translucent. Sheena held your gaze intensely , her eyes always saying so much more than her words. I had to believe that one day those eyes would look on me with love and tenderness, the kind of love and tenderness I felt for her. That hope made everyday day bearable and liveable. I would wait and in time she would realise that she needed me as more than just a casual friend down the hall in the apartment building.
