3 Must-Have Posts To Brand Your Blog

We create blogging resources and share blog writing tips. In this post, we suggest three must-have posts to brand your blog.

Blogging is the easiest way to reach your followers on the internet. Once you’ve found your passion and you’ve created your platforms, you need to write a few blog posts that reveal your brand. Here are three types of blog posts that will help you to do this.

3 Must-Have Posts To Brand Your Blog

1.  The Hashtag Post

Bloggers need to show followers who they are. You need at least one blog that reveals the essence of the person or the brand. You can show this thread in all the posts, but you should have one or two that define you.

If you know who you are and what you represent, write down your key words. Now, think about how you can show this in a post.

Remember that you are not writing an essay. You are showing your readers who you are.

Example:

You could blog about surfing. Your key words could be: #inspiring, #educational, #thrilling

You need to write about an incident that shows this. Set the scene, using your scene markers, and write about what happened.

Write about riding the most dangerous wave. Set it up, include sensory details. Reveal how much you wanted to do this, what it meant to you. Write about the ride. Write about what you learnt from it.

2.  The Catalyst Post

Once you know what you’re blogging about, you need to act. You need to make decisions and move. This signature post reveals the interior motivation behind the exterior actions.

What are you trying to achieve? What have you done to date? What do you plan to do? And most importantly: How do you plan to do it?

Show your strengths and flaws, your dreams and desires, while you’re busy doing something. Show how you work through them.

Example:

You could blog about why you love surfing. Write about the moment you knew this would be your life, how your passion grew, the decisions you made, and show how you acted on it.

3.  The Relatable Post

You need to show your humanity. How real are you? How relatable are you? Show how your story could be anybody’s story. It’s not just about your passion. It’s about anybody who has a passion for something. It’s about following your dreams.

If you have a funny story, this is the perfect time to share it. Reveal something about yourself that they could never have known.

Example:

You could blog about the moment you lost your swimming costume in front of a crowd.
