Sara Shepard is an American author. She started ghostwriting as a freelancer in 2002 and writing her own books in 2005. She is known for the bestselling Pretty Little Liars
and The Lying Game
book series, both of which have been turned into television shows. She has also written The Heiresses, The Elizas (where she makes her mark on adult fiction with this Hitchcockian narrative composed of lies, false memories, and a protagonist who must uncover the truth for survival), The Perfectionists series, and Reputation.
