Gregory McDonald was an American novelist. He was well known for his mystery adventures featuring investigative reporter Irwin Maurice ‘Fletch’ Fletcher -an iconic literary anti-hero. The nine Fletch novels, originally published between 1974 and 1986, have been one of the most successful mystery series of all time, selling 100 million copies worldwide. He won the Edgar Allan Poe award twice and was a past president of the Mystery Writers of America. Mcdonald published 26 books (15 of which are mysteries) including the Fletch, Flynn, Son of Fletch, and Skylar series. Four feature films were made from his works.
