Welcome to Day 29 of Hooked on Writing, your free online writing course. This online workbook will help you create a writing habit in 31 days.
Back to reality
Aim:
To make you think about how you would market a book.
How:
- You work in the marketing department of a publishing house.
- You have six new titles:
a. My 10-Day Affair With A Reality Star (Romance)
b. Desperate In Dainfern/Dundee/Denver (Chick Lit)
c. Hillbrow Hell (Police Procedural)
d. The Sword Of Flyon (Fantasy)
e. The Border (A Soldier’s Memoir)
f. The Whisperers (Psychological Thriller)
- Choose one of the titles.
- Remember that your goal is to get as many copies of this book reviewed and sold as possible.
- Write a press release/blurb that you would send out to the media to get them interested.
- Makes you think doesn’t it?
