The most common advice for authors who want to write in different genres is to have a different pen name for each genre. That’s good advice. Not every reader likes to read different genres. If they read one of your romance books, they might be disappointed if they pick up another of your books only to discover it’s a science fiction novel set on Mars. Having more than one pen name across genres is entirely up to the individual author. Here are 5 authors that have chosen to write in a number of genres and who have taken the precaution of having a different pen name for each one.
