Barbara Cartland was an English author and one of the most prolific writers of the 20th century. She became one of the world’s best-known romance novelists, selling more than one billion books worldwide. Her 723 romance novels continue to be read by audiences in more than 36 countries, leaving a lasting mark on the genre. A Hazard of Hearts is widely considered her best and most famous novel.
