Norman Sherry was an English-born American novelist, biographer, and educator. He is best known for his three-volume biography of Graham Greene, The Life Of Graham Greene. Sherry also wrote critically about major authors including Joseph Conrad, Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë, and Jane Austen. He held academic posts as Professor of English Literature at Lancaster University and later as Mitchell Distinguished Professor of Literature at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He was also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, recognised for his contributions to literary scholarship and biography.
