Quintin Jardine is a Scottish author of three series of crime novels, featuring the fictional characters Bob Skinner (38 books), Oz Blackstone (9 books), and Primavera Blackstone (5 Books). His novels include Skinner’s Ghost
, Skinner’s Trail, and The Cage. The Bob Skinner novels are set mainly in Edinburgh, and are built around the adventures of the city’s fictional chief constable, labelled early on by the Headline marketing department as ‘Britain’s toughest cop’. His latest Skinner novel, Kill List, will be published in 2026.
