Setting is character
Aim:
To have fun with setting.
How:
1. Pick a character from a magazine or your character box.
2. Name them.
3. Describe them in one of the following settings:
- The restaurant they wait tables in.
- Volunteering at the shelter for abused women and children.
- A bookstore about to go out of business.
- A children’s pre-school concert.
4. Name the setting.
5, Use the five senses:

They see ________________________________
They touch _______________________________
They taste _______________________________
They smell _______________________________
Show the character by their interaction with the setting. How do they react? What do they perceive? Do they have preconceptions?
