It is my intention to keep this speech as short as possible. I feel that a two hundred and sixty seven word acceptance speech is more than appropriate and will save many a lot of boredom. Prospects of fame can create two different types of reactions in an individual. Either a) the idea of that prospect can go to a person’s head where they obsess over it or b) they are utterly afraid of it. It is important to focus on the specific ideas that support a person’s work. One of the main reasons why I write is to venerate my ideas, frustrations, and concerns toward a battered humanity.
The craft of writing stands as a beacon of industrious productivity that can initiate a person into an intellectual mindset. We should encourage all of humanity to achieve and maintain such a mindset. Civilization stands to exponentially benefit from such a measure. On that note it must be realized that the further we immerse ourselves in our reflective writing the harder it is to stop. I often write to prompts that investigate and support truthful ideas in addition to suggestive commentaries which insist on better mediums of civilization for humankind. The dissipation of an award is essentially an example of a material provision in which a person receives for the recognition of their work.
Although it is very encouraging and flattering to receive one it does not mean that the fundamental point behind one’s writing is to work for one. Let us all work toward a more literate humanity in order to create a better plain of civilization for the species.
