Daily Writing Prompt

We are in a library dedicated to books about bridge. The books are simply divided into beginner, advanced and expert. The lady with me in the library is unfamiliar but she rates highly on looks and style (an extremely rare combination in our club). She is perusing the expert books.

Looking for the correct opening lead I light upon the best bridge ever by Ottlik and Kelsey “Adventures in Card Play”. Do you know it? I ask. No she doesn’t. I enthuse in a wise and passionate manner.

There’s no copy in the library but I have one at home. If I promise to lend it to you, will you have dinner with me? A date is agreed. WOW. I get home, look for the book. It’s not there…then I wake up from my beautiful dream which turned into a nightmare.
