They used to drink a lot of wine. As they aged they more frequently went for the brandy bottle. Finally they switched to port. Their philosophy was to recognise their ages in the most positive way possible. They did this by drinking vintage port, focusing each year on their combined ages plus 23.

This was so enjoyable that they both lived well into their 90s and only expired because they ran out of cash.
