Daily Writing Prompt

I’m in Iceland en route to New York. After the volcanic eruptions in 2010, in particular, when flights were severely disrupted, I am very conscious of the weather.
So much here is psychological. You can’t see anything or, at least, I can’t. But I “hear” rumblings, I “taste” sour cream, I “smell” sulphur. But what do I touch? I touch nothing! But I want to touch an icon or something like that in order to offer a prayer for my safe deliverance from this charming but a bit insecure environment.
