Book Review – Wedding Night

Fliss and Lottie are sisters living in London. Fliss is going through a bitter divorce and is trying to balance her career at a travel magazine and raise her imaginative seven-year-old son, Noah, when her sister, Lottie, tells her she is about to get married…

Lottie meets her long-term boyfriend Richard at a restaurant, which she was determined to leave with an engagement ring on her finger…however he has no idea of her desire and she breaks up with him after humiliating herself. She then meets up with her old flame, Ben who she hasn’t seen in 15 years and she decides she won’t sleep with him until marriage in order to break her old relationship patterns…so he promptly proposes and she accepts.

However, Lottie is being protected by a guardian angel who pulls strings to make it the worst honeymoon ever in order to prevent Lottie and Ben consummating their marriage. This leaves the option of annulment available when she comes to her senses eventually…A great holiday read with farcical moments and home truths about love, clarity and commitment.
