Book Review – Watching You

Marnie is desperate. Her husband has been missing for more than a year. His bank accounts have been frozen and she can’t claim his life insurance. She is in limbo and she is forced to pay off a gambling debt she didn’t know he had.

She seeks help from psychologist Joe O’Loughlin. Only when they discover a box of memorabilia that Daniel was collecting for her birthday does she begin to suspect that there may be more to the feeling that someone is watching her.

This book kept me guessing. As soon as I thought I knew exactly what was happening I was surprised by something else. It was fast paced and fun to read. Marnie is fascinating. It was a pleasure to watch her develop as a character. I enjoyed Joe and Ruiz; they are a wonderful duo. There is plenty of dialogue which I always enjoy.

I think we might be seeing a really good writer become great.
