Don’t Let Go by Harlan Coben (Century) ISBN: 9781780894249
Don’t Let Go has all the key ingredients for the perfect mystery novel: conspiracy, paranoia, and drama.
Napoleon Dumas, affectionately known as Nap, has spent the last fifteen years searching for answers to what happened fifteen years ago. Struggling to let go of the events that led to the death of his twin brother, Leo and his girlfriend, Diana. Although their deaths were initially ruled as a suicide pact, Nap knows there was more to it. On the same night, his high school sweetheart, Maura also disappeared and was never heard from again.
Fifteen years later, Maura’s fingerprints are linked to a present day crime involving an ex classmate and Nap soon realizes that the he might figure out what happened to all three. With the discovery of the Conspiracy Club, a secret society in high school, the mystery begins to unravel. Nap pieces together the story, finding links he never saw as the search for the truth continues.
It soon becomes clear that someone doesn’t want the truth to come out as key witnesses start disappearing. This was an amazing read that left me quite speechless.
