Renata Adler is an Italian-born American journalist, experimental novelist, and film critic. Her books include the novels, Speedboat and Pitch Dark. She has also published several non-fiction books, and has been awarded the O. Henry Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the PEN/Hemingway Award.
