Book Review – The Vanishing Of Audrey Wilde

The Vanishing of Audrey Wilde is an enchanting and often haunting mystery of a missing girl written skillfully in dual time-lines.

The first narrative is written in the 1950s from the perspective of Margot Wilde, the missing girl’s cousin and the second is from present day Jessie, newly married and seeking sanctuary in the Cotswolds with her complex family.

Eve Chase weaves a bewitching and captivating ghost story. Her writing style is so beautifully descriptive it is almost poetic with a magical touch that slowly draws you deep into the mystery. The story is intricately crafted in language that is so charming to read, the author is forgiven for the odd cliché.

I relished every page and will definitely read more books from this author in the future.
