No one to tell

by Karen Rose (Headline) ISBN 978-0-7553-7395-6

Ramon Muñoz has spent five years in prison, convicted of a murder he did not commit.  Unable to get the courts to help him, his family turns to private investigator for help.

Paige Holden was shot and now has a large dog called Peabody who is trained to protect her from would be assassins.

All the clues point to Silas as murderer. On his trail, Paige meets up with prosecutor, Grayson Smith.  She has had many disappointments in her love life. Along comes Grayson to whom she is attracted.  After breaking down her barriers, Grayson has a torrid affair with Paige.

Meanwhile Grayson has a deep dark secret from his past that involves his mother and himself and is terrified that when she hears the truth about their past, Paige will leave him. There are many scenes of shootings, injury and killing people that are hiding the truth about Ramon Muñoz.

This story gallops along at a fierce pace. Every page is action and guessing who the perpetrator of the original murder was. There is also a frightening side about children. The little voices call forlornly from the pages.

This is a very good read but the violence might be disturbing to the reader
