Who’s Been Using Your Network?

Who Uses Social Media?

Social media users increased from 2 billion to 3 billion users in 2014.  The average social media user spends 2 hours and 25 minutes per day using social networks and microblogs. (This average is higher in South Africa.)

One of the most common questions we are asked on our course, The Complete Blogging & Social Media Course, is how do individuals or companies know which network will suit them? We cover The Big Six – Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, You Tube, Google+ – in detail. We talk about who uses each platform most and which platform will give them what they need to reach their followers.

We thought this basic Infographic that we found on Mashable provides a good snapshot of who uses the different platforms. Obviously, you will need to look at factors that suit your brand in more detail, but this is a start.
